The Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall by Katie Alender is a horror-mystery book about a girl who inherits an institute for troubled females. This book follows the story of the main character Delia—named after her great-aunt Cordelia, whom she inherited the institute from. She soon learns that there are many things wrong with the house, and dark secrets lie within. She realizes that she must save her family and get them out of the house as soon as possible. Delia begins to discover many secrets during her time there and has to figure out why the house has become so evil.

This book is one of the few that I have read more than once because it is so unique and interesting. The storyline is very well written and the characters are really well explained—to me it was unlike something I had ever read before. I would definitely recommend reading this book, especially if horror books are your favorite or you simply prefer this genre of books. When the story ended, I was hoping to read a sequel—even if it was the perfect closing ending. This book gave what it needed to give and was a really good book overall, definitely worth your time.
