Being an apprentice with DAIA was so much more than spending time in the library. It gave me invaluable networking connections, work experience, and a greater appreciation and awareness for the Los Angeles Public Library system and all it does for the City of Los Angeles. There are so many parts that are critical to the well-being of not only the library system but the entire community of Los Angeles. I'm so grateful that I had the chance to be a part of it, and it will be an experience that I look back on as I begin to start a professional career.

DAIA was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. I gained valuable experience working in a library through actually being "on the job" and made so many connections such as my mentor, my peers, and my community through my Capstone project.
