If you've heard it once, you've heard it a million times—the book was better! There's nothing like debating the differences between a favorite book and its translation to the screen. But if you don't know your beloved series is coming out as a movie or that the fun-looking preview you saw was adapted from a book, how can you join the debate? The Library is here to the rescue! Here, we will be exploring the movie adaptations soon to hit screens big and small and give you the chance to read before you view.

While out on a scouting mission on the dangerous ice world of Niflheim, Mickey Barnes (aka Mickey7, the seventh clone of an expendable employee) goes missing. Presumed dead, he is replaced with Mickey8. But Mickey7 isn’t dead, and there is only supposed to be one clone at a time. If Mickey7 reports his survival, either he or Mickey8 will be recycled. Trapped on an inhospitable planet with nowhere to turn, Mickey7 will have to find a way out of this impossible situation. Titled Mickey17, the film adaptation of Edward Ashton’s Mickey7 will premiere in theaters on March 7, 2025.
